Howard Schultz describes the importance of hiring motivated employees in this quote from Business Insider’s hiring advice from 28 top CEOs. “Motivated” is the operative word here. As I explained in one of my posts about the traits every job candidate must have, you have to ask: Does this person want to work specifically with us?

Your hiring processes should be built around finding people who expressly want to work with your company. Then, your job as the CEO is to ensure they continue to internalize and execute on the company vision. A clear vision provides guidance to employees in their daily routines.
